Rules

  1. Languages allowed English, Hindi, Kannada and Classical.
  2. Karaoke should be given in MP3 format only .
  3. Time limit for 1st round: 2 minutes + 90 seconds.
  4. Instrument accompaniment is allowed.
  5. 7 finalists will be selected from first round.
  6. Prepare a different song for the final round.
  7. Time limit for final round: 2 minutes + 60seconds.
  8. Original composition is not allowed.

Battle of Bands

Rules

  1. All bands from professional colleges are allowed regardless of age.
  2. Any changes need to be intimated to the event organisers a day beforehand.
  3. Professional conduct on stage must be ensured.
  4. Vulgarity in any form will not be entertained whatsoever.
  5. No individual can perform with more than one participating team.
  6. All bands must be present at the venue of the event atleast 30 mins prior to the event.
  7. Only registered band members can perform on stage.
  8. Slot picking will be be held before the event at the venue.
  9. Time limit: 12+2(inclusive of soundcheck).
  10. 5% of total marks will be deducted for each minute exceeded beyond the time limit.
  11. No pre-recorded sounds or loops allowed.
  12. Bring your own instruments, drum kit will be provided.
  13. If bands have any specific equipment requirements, it must be intimated to the event organisers a week beforehand.
  14. Original compositions are encouraged. Lyrics of the same if any, must be sent to the event organisers atleast a day beforehand.
  15. All genres and languages are entertained.
  16. Organisers will not be held responsible for loss of band equipment or possessions.
  17. Valid ID card is mandatory.
  18. Judges' as well as event organisers' decisions are final.
  19. Not adhering to any of the above regulations will lead to immediate disqualification of the team in concern.

Shake-A-Leg

Rules

  1. Solo dance performance.
  2. Dance of any style is allowed.
  3. Music must be brought in .mp3 format in a CD/DVD/pen drive. The music has to be submitted to the organizer at least 45 minutes prior to the performance, as no extra time will be given for the same once the event commences.
  4. There is no particular theme.
  5. Participants should get their own props (if any). All props to be specified to the event organizer beforehand.
  6. Derogatory acts are strictly not allowed on stage.
  7. The 1st round has a time limit of 2 minutes + 30 seconds (not to be exceeded) wherein you perform your practiced piece.
  8. The 2nd round will be a battle (The choice of the song is up to the organizers).
  9. Judges’ decisions will be final and in case of any discrepancy, the organizing committee’s decisions will be all-abidin

Group Dance

Rules

  1. Style: Any dance form is allowed.
  2. No on-spot registrations.
  3. Team Size: 5-15 performers.
  4. Time limit: 4-6 min (+1 min setup time) this is not to be exceeded.
  5. Judging Criteria: Choreography, Energy, Synchronization, Stage utilization, Costumes, Innovation, Overall impact.
  6. Usage of props is allowed. These have to be brought by the teams themselves but does not carry any extra marks. (No dangerous props of any kind of fluid or flame)
  7. No solo performance is allowed at any point of time.
  8. Live music is not allowed.
  9. Pre-recorded music should be sent as a mail and brought in a pen drive in .mp3 format only.
  10. Obscenity of any kind is not allowed and will lead to immediate disqualification.
  11. The decision of the judges shall be final and binding.
  12. Each team has to report to the event organiser at least an hour prior to the

Fashion Show

Rules

  1. No skimpy/indecent clothing allowed
  2. Emphasis will be given to apparel, portrayal of theme and originality
  3. Time limit - 8 minutes + 2 minutes
  4. Points will be reduced for exceeding time limit
  5. Soundtrack to be brought in a pen drive in .mp3 format only
  6. A mail containing the soundtrack must be sent to the organisers atleast one day prior to the event
  7. Number of members - 8 to 16 only

Acapella / Western Acoustics

Rules

  1. For Acapella: 12 participants/team For Acoustic: 8 participants/team
  2. Each team has 2+8 minutes exceeding which will bring down 5% of the score per minute.
  3. Participating teams must declare themselves as either Acoustic or Acapella prior to the event.
  4. Only acoustic instruments and electric bass are allowed. Keyboard to be used only in grand piano mode.
  5. Teams are not allowed to use any backing tracks or pre-recorded sounds or loops.
  6. Teams must maintain a professional conduct.
  7. No participant can be a part of 2 different teams for the same event.
  8. Teams will be judged on the basis of: creativity, harmony, pitch, sync, stage presence, group dynamics.
  9. Original Compositions are encouraged.
  10. Lyrics of the Original Composition need to be sent to the event organizers at least 2 days prior to the competiton via email.
  11. Specific requirements must be informed to the event organizers well beforehand the day of the event.
  12. The decisions made by the judge will be final.
  13. All participating teams need to assemble at least 30 minutes prior to the venue of the event.
  14. Please make sure that each team member has an ID card.
  15. Team(s) that fail to meet these rules will be disqualified immediately.

Beatboxing

Rules

  1. Solo event
  2. Time limit- 2+1 minutes
  3. Vulgarity of any kind will lead to immediate disqualification
  4. 2 finalists will be selected
  5. Final round will be a face off
  6. Use of abusive language during the face off will lead to disqualification
  7. Decision of judges will be final.

Street Dance

Rules

  1. It will be a crew on crew open style battle between college dance teams.
  2. Every crew should perform a showase round which will be close to 3 to 4 minutes! Showcase round music can be of their own choice.
  3. The teams will be filtered and they will battle each other in further rounds.
  4. Teams will have 5 rounds each to showcase what they've got , it can be 1 vs 1 or even team sets can be performed.
  5. The last 2 teams will be in finals and they will battle each other to be winners and runners.
  6. The battle music will be played by the dj.
  7. Props can be used if necessary in a battle.
  8. Any style dancers or crew can be a part of this event with a minimum member limit as 3 to 8.
  9. Music, technique, foundation, creativity and stage presence will be main key factors of judging!
  10. Judges decision will be final.
